Elfwood

So, I received an email from a website that I joined last year.  The website is http://www.elfwood.com/.  I admit that I joined it at an age of nerdiness, but I confess that I still love it.

It is a fantasy/sci-fi art/writing website.  People come and post their art or writing and use it to open discussions on art or for suggestions.

Well, the message said "We haven't seen you in a while."  And I thought Oh, yeah.  I should visit. Previously, I had always done this in an art-oriented way.  I only wanted to see the pwitty pictas.  (Maybe it's a sign of maturity, that I'm not just looking at picutre-books anymore. :P Right.)

But I started reading some of the writing on there.  It was AWESOME!  In all caps: AWESOME!

There are so many talented writers that I can't even stand it!

I am inspired!  I must write!  I MUST!!!

Once again, in all caps: AWESOME!

  1. hehe. I am one of the artists on there, but i can't get into my account because I don't know my passward and they won't give it to me...so i haven't done anything with it for like 6 years, and now I don't even draw anymore!
But, i love elfwood so much!

  2. I have an Elfwood account too, but I abandoned it in favor for Deviantart. I found the niche of Elfwood to be too restrictive, and I was moving away from writing anyway. (also moving away from sci-fi and fantasy). I've thought about deleting my page but I can't even log on anymore.

  3. So, this is pretty random, but I found your blog today because you posted the address in a comment you left on one of my stories (a poem, actually) on Elfwood. I don't know if you remember it--it was a silly little piece about a vampire barber (and I tried to convince you to post some writing of your own). Anyhow, as I was scrolling through the comments, I came across your message and thought I should pop over to your blog because I hadn't ever done so before. So hey! Here I am, over a year later. :-) Are you going to be blogging/writing more anytime in the near future? The Mathematician's Manuscript was adorable.
