So, it's been popular of late to write a letter to your younger self (most people pick an age.)
Dear younger self,
You're on the right track, quit worrying.
Talk your parents into buying you Rosetta Stone. They make a home-school version that you could probably talk your parents into, because you can have more than one user on it. Don't waste your time with any live language classes except sign language. Institutions of learning suck at teaching languages.
Don't worry about making friends, there are only a few worthwhile people where you're at now. Your best friends are on their way, you'll be fine.
Your parents are sometimes unreasonable. If you cannot reason with them, then rebel against them. You know when you're right, and you need to quit being a pansy.
Boss people around. You'll waste much less time.
Focus on school and work less. Demand money from your parents. You'll be much less stressed out, and more likely to get scholarships if you do well in school.
Tell your mom how late you've been staying up doing homework after work.
Learn to shut up instead of fight.
Take out student loans so that you can live comfortably, and get through school quickly.
If a 'friend' is annoying, ditch them quickly. JUST STOP TALKING TO THEM. Interrupt them, and say, "I-really-have-to-go-right-now-sorry-kay-bye." Then hang up. Your life is too valuable to waste listening to drama that people build around themselves just to feel important. Feel free to be rude to these people in public--you're not the only one thinking it, and getting rid of these people will free you up to meet better people.
Overall, you are on the right track. You will make predominantly good decisions, so don't worry.
Spice up your wardrobe and learn to use makeup. Again, demand money from your parents--your independence is suicidal.
Love,
Your future self.
